What to do

After students complete their initial models, you can review these models for diversity of ideas. Student initial models should be considered a pre-assessment. It is an opportunity to learn where students are coming in and what ideas they have that you can build on in this unit. The more ideas in your classroom the better. All ideas and ways of representation are areas to build on and ways for students to see other ideas in the classroom when they share models.
